Welcome to Thames & Kennet Narrow Boat Trust
A community based boat project dedicated to providing young people with an in land waterways boating experience they will never forget!
Our boat is Falcon Adam, a 70’ narrowboat that sleeps 12 people, based at Frouds Bridge Marina at Aldermaston on the Kennet and Avon canal. We usually run from clocks forward to clocks back (April to Oct) although we may have to curtail or alter trips if the river section goes on red after prolonged rainfall.
We can provide skippered days, weekends or longer, or groups can self skipper with the appropriate training. Our sister narrowboat, Lady Hilda, a 62’ sleeps 9 narrowboat can be found at Great Bedwyn https://bruceboats.katrust.org.uk/youth-groups/
Offering students the chance to gain a CCBM (Certificate of Community Boat Management) or a Girlguiding Narrowboat qualification.
